Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and AED Training Course Summary:

First aid training is critical for the workplace as well as at home. In Ontario, employers have a legal requirement to have at least one employee trained in first aid based on the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act's Regulation 1101 - First Aid Requirements.

For employers with 5 or less employees per shift, Emergency First Aid Training is required.

For employers with more than 5 employees per shift, Standard First Aid Training is required.

  • Preparing to respond
  • The EMS system
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway emergencies
  • Breathing and Circulation emergencies
  • First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Wound care
  • Head, neck and spinal injuries
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Sudden Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Illnesses
  • Poisons

Includes all other content required by legislation.

Duration 2 Days - In-Person Training
Training Interval 3 Years Retraining Required
Pre-Requisite None
Includes First Aid & CPR (Print). Standard First Aid certificate (digital certificate issued upon successful completion)
