Arc Flash / Electrical Safety Awareness Training Course Summary:
The outcome of an arc flash or electrical shock and burn incident from toxic electricity can leave workers with life threatening injuries, permanent disabilities and / or severe disfigurement. Hot Zone's Arc Flash and Electrical Safety Awareness Training will teach workers how work in proximity or who must work with live electrical about the hazards of shock, burns and arc flashes, as well as how to protective techniques.

Course Content:
- Review of applicable legislation and CSA Standard CSA Z462-18 and NFPA 70E
- Characteristics of electrical shock, burns and arc flash
- Contribute factors that enable shock, burns and/ or arc flashes to occur
- Common hazard risks from electrical shock, burn and arc flash incidents
- Discussion on methods to reduce risks
- Identification and selection of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and engineering controls that should be used
- Review of how Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) should respond to electrical shock, burn or arc flash incidents
- Review of company / client procedures if available prior to training
