Understanding Violence and Harassment in the Workplace - Bill 168

With the passing of Bill 168 into legislation, employers now have expanded responsibilities for dealing with harassment and violence within the workplace. This course is designed to ensure that your organization is equipped to properly address these expanded duties/responsibilities:

  • Understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act – who are the key players and what are their general duties/responsibilities
  • What is the definition for violence or harassment? 
  • A history of violence – lets look at some recent examples of violence where tragedy was the end result
  • Bill 168 – what exactly does this Bill mean to me?
  • Conflict and conflict resolution – lets deal with these issues before they escalate beyond our control
  • What about the “right to refuse unsafe work” and the presence of violence in the workplace?
